      Really? If so, why didn’t the two female Ortho surgeons who are SUING him find the humor funny? Oh that’s right, maybe because sexual misconduct, misogeny, racist remarks, and disregarding informed consent from patients aren’t areas any professional with a working moral compass would find funny.

    I don’t understand how physical therapy can help bone spurs?

    • @MP-in4or
      @MP-in4or 3 місяці тому

      He has to say this for insurance reasons. I work in healthcare. Bone spurs do not go away on their own. You can tolerate them with some strengthening of your neck muscles. Injections are only a band-aid. Keep in mind, injections are relatively new per say. There is not that many long term studies on them. Some people respond, while others don't. But, regardless of your pain and function, insurance companies, unless your in the ER, force doctors to make you do PT. You do not have to do injections, but doctors are paid big money to do them. Only after about 6 months with no improvements and numbness, will they do anything. If you don't have numbness, they do pretty much everything to avoid surgery, again, because insurance companies don't want to pay for it. I knew better and got a second opinion. My second guy recommended a disc replacement, but that did not get rid of my spurs. He also did not do my C6-C7, which has a disc bulge. Said the disc should keep me from having to do anything in the future. Able to move my neck easier, but the pain is still there. A year later, they are trying to push the same injection and PT crap, despite it doing nothing prior to the disc replacement.

    I have all of that, plus scoliosis, facet joint disease, sciatica, leg pain and weakness, osteopenia and a myriad of problems with all this. I had a visit with a spine surgeon and because I refused to have most of my spine fused, he rolled up his paper work, shut off computer and walked out of the exam room. He spent a total of 5 minutes with me! I’ll just live with this until I end up in a wheelchair or worse before I ever see another spine specialist.

It was my senior year and I tore it in football I lost the rest of that season and I lost a very promising Wrestling season BUT I worked very hard and had amazing doctors, coaches and PTs and was able to start running at 3 months sprinting at 4 and hurdling at 5 soo 225 days after surgery I ran the 110 hurdles and got 5th in state. To any athlete that feels defeated just work hard and you can make it!

    I am 10 days out from partial Meniscus surgery. I was never in pain and have pretty much full flex. All knees are different, but I credit a good doc and using one of the Polar Cubes to keep the swelling down. I went to sleep with it on my knee the first night. I probably average 3 hours a day icing it. It immediately seems to calm it down if it begins to hurt at all. It’s much more user friendly than an ice pack.

    Doctor, I had an ACL reconstruction surgery (hamstring) 3 weeks ago. During the surgery they also found out my Meniscus had been twisted around so they fixed that and mentioned they had to also cut/shave some off. I'm 3 weeks post-op and can't straighten the knee. It feels like something (like a muscle feeling) in the area of the ACL is preventing it, as if my muscles won't allow it because they're not able to stretch/bend (this is the feeling). When I do my exercises, it pains in that area when I try straighten the knee. It also hurts in that area when I try and bend it (can't bend past an L shape at all because of pain, feels like muscle or something is ripping). I hadn't used the leg pre-op for about 2 months because of a certain injury I had. I was on crutches. So all my muscle from that leg is actually gone. My right leg (the good one) is all muscled up for doing everything, but my left leg (the injured one) looks like a stick. Is this a problem or normal? Do I have to just trust the rehab process and it'll come in time?
